Picked at a perfect ripeness after a long growing season, our Willowbrook Cellars 2012 Kaufman Sunnyslope Pinot Noir was fermented cool and aged in French oak barrels with minimal intervention. Dark blackberry aromas with a subtle floral element swirl on the nose. On the palate, this Pinot has a savory spice quality on entry leading to a deliciously rich mouthfeel with forward red cherry and sandalwood flavors. The end is focused and structured, typical of this high-altitude appellation, with hints of tobacco leaf and vanilla.
